Rental terms

Driver’s License

The renter-driver must be at least twenty-three (23) years old and no older than seventy-five (75) years old. The driver must have held a valid driving license for at least 1 year. Upon vehicle pick-up, the renter is required to present original identification or passport, as well as their driving license, to the rental company. If the driver is from a country outside the European Union, an international driving permit is required.

The minimum rental period is one day / 24 hours.

All fines and penalties resulting from traffic violations are the responsibility of the renter.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the vehicles. A cleaning fee of €80 will be charged for cars returned with evidence of smoking.

  • to notify the central offices of Vento Car Rentals.
  • to deny liability or fault and any third-party claims in any way, whether direct or indirect.
  • to inform the traffic police.
  • to collect the names, addresses, and phone numbers of those involved in the accident.
  • not to move the car before the traffic police and the insurance company’s representative arrive at the accident scene.
The basic charge covers a period of one day (a 24-hour period from the moment you pick up the car) and includes:
  • Unlimited mileage
  • Second driver free of charge
  • 24-hour roadside assistance
  • Third-party insurance with deductible (C.D.W.)
  • Taxes and fees
All charges include VAT.

The vehicle will remain available for up to 2 hours after the agreed pick-up time. You should contact us if you plan to pick it up after this period.

Paid by the renter.
The vehicle must be returned on the date, time, and location specified in the rental agreement, with a fuel level equal to that at the time of vehicle pick-up as stated in the rental agreement, and in any case, not less than 1/4 of a tank. If you return the vehicle with more fuel than when it was handed over, Vento Rent a Car is not obliged to refund any money. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than when it was delivered, you will be required to pay the difference. Attention: Only unleaded fuel must be used.

Basic third-party insurance is included in the prices.
Comprehensive insurance: covers damages to the rented vehicle for amounts of €500.00 and above. For damages up to €500.00, the renter is responsible.

The renter, regardless of whether they have accepted the comprehensive insurance, is obligated to pay for any damage or replacement of destroyed tires, rims, as well as damages to the underside of the rented vehicle.

  • The keys of all vehicles from Vento Rent a Car are equipped with immobilizers.
  • Each vehicle has one spare key.
  • In case the renter loses the key, they must immediately inform the Vento Rent a Car office so that a spare key can be sent, without attempting in any way to start the vehicle.
  • The cost of sending the spare key as well as the replacement key manufacturing is the renter’s responsibility.

Free transfer to/from the airport, to/from the port, and to/from the hotel.

All prices and charges include VAT.

Vento Rent a Car reserves the right to change the car model in special cases.

Car transport by ferry is only allowed with the company’s written approval. A special fee applies for insurance coverage.

Reservation cancellation and refund of any amount paid can be made at least 10 days before the scheduled start of the vehicle rental; otherwise, any paid amount is non-refundable.

If you do not pick up your vehicle at the agreed time, or do not meet the rental requirements (age, license, deposit), or wish to cancel the reservation but did not notify us before the rental period began, then Vento Rent a Car is not obliged to refund any money.

The above terms apply to all reservations.
